10 O’Clock Live – product placement and the iPad

OK so here’s another clip with lots of swearing in it. But the take off of the recent iPad 2 launch is acerbically brilliant. Also a sharp piece on product placement. It was Jan 2010 when we drew attention to this. A load of Breathe subscribers got in touch with the Dept of Culture, Media and Sport last year, but now product placement has been given the go ahead on British-made TV. At least many of the concerns we raised at the time, about childrens and current affairs programming, or high sugar/salt products have been heeded. 

And if it means that we’re now more cynical of what’s on the telly (as demonstrated by 10 O’Clock Live) then maybe some good can come out of this…
